Chili powder is a red-colored blend of powdered spices, dried and is a pulverized fruit of one or more varieties of chili pepper, a blend of spices that is not simply ground up chili peppers. Chili powder is known by the specific type of chili pepper used used to make chili powder include Aleppo, ancho, cayenne, chipotle, chile de ├írbol, jalape├▒o, New Mexico, pasilla, and piri piri chili peppers.
